Shemah Yisrael!
Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

The Roman Road

All are lost.
...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... (Rom. 3:23)

The penalty (debt) for sin.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 6:23)

Jesus paid the price.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)

Responding to Christ.
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom 10:9-13)

Security of the believer.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:38-39)

Nature of the believer.
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Rom. 12:1-2)
